Zero Waste Lunches for Wellness

As part of earth month in April and to support Ohio State’s wellness strategic plan, FOD's Mary Leciejewski coordianted with sustainability and Your Plan for Health (YP4H) partners at the university to create a Zero Waste Challenge through YP4H.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to pack zero waste lunches where all items can be eaten, reused, recycled or composted. When packing a zero waste lunch, you can control portion sizes and nutritional value of the food you’re eating, help reduce the amount of food and package waste going to landfills, and in some cases, save you money!

Faculty and staff who track “Yes” on at least 15 separate days as part of the Your Plan for Health Zero Waste Challenge can receive 250 points and be entered into a drawing to win $25 PulseCash. Logon to VirginPulse for tracking.
