Laura Stehura serves as Human Resources Business Partner for the Office of Administration and Planning, supporting Facilities Operations and Development; Planning, Architecture and Real Estate; Uniprint; and Shared Services. In May 2015, Laura was designated as the Chief Diversity Officer for Administration and Planning and serves as the chair of the A&P Diversity Council. In recognition of the council’s many achievements, they received the University’s Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award in 2016.
Laura began her professional career with the Office of Collective Bargaining serving as a Labor Relations Consultants. She moved to the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission (now Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities) as the Labor Relations Manager, where she served in numerous HR roles for more than twenty years. She ended her career with the State of Ohio as the Personnel Administrator for the Department of Corrections and joined The Ohio State University in the fall of 2011.
Laura received her B.A. in Psychology and Masters in Public Administration and Masters in Labor and Human Resources from Ohio State. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
