Join the Campus Clean-Up on April 18

Celebrate earth month and environmental wellness by joining Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) on April 18 for a spring campus clean-up.  Volunteers will be entered into a special drawing to receive a Zero Waste kit, including a Buckeyes Compost t-shirt, a Hydroflask water bottle and a compost bin for your kitchen! Research indicates that time spent outside can help lower stress, boost our mood and increase our ability to concentrate. Support your health and the well-being of our planet today by signing up to participate.  The registration deadine is Friday, April 7.

Opportunities Include:

  • Litter Pick-Up
    • Meet outside of Ohio Union (on the High Street side) to pick-up latex gloves, trash bags and litter grabbers as well as directions to campus areas that need attention.
      • 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. (registration full)
      • 11 a.m. - noon (registration full)
  • Flower Bed Prep, Mulching
    • Meet in the Fisher College of Business Huntington Plaza (located on the south side of Fisher Hall, near Woodruff Avenue). Hand tools and latex gloves will be provided. Consider wearing clothes / shoes that can get dirty.
      • 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
      • 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Weather Impacts
Volunteers will be notified via email on the morning of April 18 if the events are cancelled due to weather.
