In a recent interview with Columbus Business First, Chris Kabourek, senior vice president of Ohio State's Office of Administration and Planning, discussed his move from Nebraska to Ohio.
"It’s a great time for me to come on board and be able to be on the ground floor with the leadership team here and to start building the tactical strategies that go into getting to where you want to go," said Kabourek.
Serving previously as interim president at the University of Nebraska, Kabourek believes his experience and ability to bring calm and steady leadership will support advancing the mission of the university.
"The great thing about the Administration and Planning team is we are a 24/7, 365-days-a-year operation," said Kabourek. "Some might consider the work we do – facilities, IT, public safety, transportation – a little bit behind the scenes, but without it, nothing else can get done."
