As a buckeye wellness innovator (BWI) and senior architectural systems analyst for Facilities Information and Technology Services (FITS), Sean Moodie enjoys helping to create awareness of health, wellness and employee benefits among his coworkers.
“Health, sustainability, and financial wellness are some of my biggest interests,” said Sean. “Optimizing things is a big part of my personality and I've spent a lot of time on self-improvement in these areas.”
Sean's interest in wellness translate directly into the workplace. Every other month, he hosts a wellness webinar lunch, with topics voted on by FITS colleagues. Upcoming events, deadlines, and miscellaneous wellness-related information are also shared during the gatherings. As a BWI, Sean has learned how to make better use of the university’s employee benefits and pass along the knowledge to coworkers. He enjoys the support from the BWI community as well as the flexibility of tailoring wellness content for his department.
“There are so many resources that support Ohio State employees in different areas of life,” said Sean. “You might not need it the first time you hear about [different resources], and it can be easy to forget, but maybe you will benefit from it later on.”
