A&P Diversity Council - Bruce Allen

Bruce Allen was sworn into The Ohio State University Police Division as an officer in 2016 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2019. He graduated from Ohio State with an undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies and earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs.

In hiscurrent role, Bruce supervises OSUPD's records unit, crime analyst, personal protection team, special events, and most importantly – community engagement. In 2021, he led a public safety diversity training team that focused on the history of policing in America, implicit bias, facilitating conversations about race, and how to improve community trust in law enforcement. Diversity is one of the police division’s core values and his purpose on the A&P Diversity Council is to promote the acceptance and appreciation of the difference in culture, thought and experiences of all individuals in the campus community.

In his free time he likes to exercise, play video games and hang out with his cats!
