Jay Kasey

Jay Kasey has extensive experience leading and improving the operational performance of healthcare and academic campuses throughout the country.
As a consultant, he achieved strong operating improvements in interim leadership roles in distressed and challenged hospitals and health systems. He has developed numerous operational growth and improvement plans for both hospitals and academic medical centers.
Jay joined The Ohio State University in 2007 when he was appointed the Chief Operating Officer of The Ohio State University Health System. The Health System includes two general teaching hospitals and specialty hospitals in Oncology, Cardiology, Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry.
Jay increased his responsibilities to serve the academic and business side of the university and the Medical Center. As the Senior Vice President of Administration & Planning at The Ohio State University, Jay oversees service operations and construction for all university activities and strategic planning and capital strategies. Jay also oversees all routine operational needs at the university, including maintenance, security, performance improvement, construction, parking, public transportation, printing, real estate, urban development, and WOSU Public Media.
Jay earned his BA in economics from Wabash College, his Masters of Hospital Administration degree from Washington University, and a second Master of Business Operational Excellence from The Ohio State University.
