A&P's Buckeye Wellness Innovator team and Diversity Council gathered in October for A&P's Well-Being Retreat. Healthy smoothies were offered thanks to TTM's Don Borton and his pedal power on the blender bike. OSU Health Plan Health Coach Jessica Hernandez provided a healthy food demo, with tasty protein-filled snacks shared with the team. The retreat wrapped up with a discussion about what wellness looks like and ways it can be incorporated into daily routines.
FOD Operations and A&P Buckeye Wellness Innovators teamed up with FOD Landscape Services to plog through campus in August. “Plogging" is a Swedish term for the simple act of picking up litter while you run, hike, or walk in your community. It started spreading to other countries around the world in 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution.
Innovators were provided with gloves, trash bags, litter grabbers and a smile. The effort was part of a YP4H plogging challenge that allowed teams of five to earn up to 2500 points for participation.
In July, 105 Administration and Planning (A&P) staff members from 24 different teams joined the A&P Step into a Healthy Heart Challenge . 15,450,000 steps were walked, totaling more than 7,700 miles. The overall step average was more than 147,00 steps per person. Congratulations to all staff who participated and took steps toward wellness.

To honor her dad’s memory, Kneisly, who also serves as a Buckeye wellness innovator, will join FOD’s Team Heart and Sole ...
The majority of Alex Cramer’s workday is spent sitting at her desk. The contracts administrator for Facilities, Design and Construction (FDC) crafts and creates written pledges for various projects on campus.
It’s a similar story throughout her office. Cramer says FDC employees spend a lot of time on the phone and in meetings.
“I want everyone in the office to be able to step away from the stress of their job for a moment,” Cramer said.
