  • Buckeye Paws Visits TTM

    In July, Transportation and Traffic Management (TTM) Buckeye Wellness Innovator (BWI) Christy Miller coordinated with Buckeye Paws to host a visit with TTM staff. The certified therapy dog-handler teams coordinate with departments across the university to bring therapy dogs to campus. Visits with the teams are said to help improve mood and decrease stress.

    Buckeye Paws visits may be requested and scheduled by emailing BuckeyePaws@osumc.edu. Additional information is available online.

  • Plogging for a Cause

    Buckeyes from across Ohio State's Columbus campus were invited to join the Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) Landscape Services team during a campus clean-up event in May. Volunteers met at Meiling Hall and were encouraged to walk, jog or run while picking up litter, otherwise known as "plogging." The event provided an opportunity for participants to share your #BuckeyeLove for the environment as part of environmental wellness, while enjoying the benefits of physical activity and spending time outdoors.

  • May 21: Litter Pick-Up While Walking or Jogging

    Students, faculty and staff are invited to join Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) Landscape Services team on May 21 for campus "plogging" fun to pick up litter while walking, jogging or running. Time slots are available from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Share your #BuckeyeLove for the environment while enjoying the benefits of physical activity and spending time outdoors.

  • Excellence in Performance and Wellness

    In early April, A&P’s Performance Excellence team joined other Buckeyes to focus on personal energy management and wellness through Ohio State’s Health Athlete program . Participants spend the day learning about the importance of one’s own personal story, how it can be used to affect behavior changes as well as strategies for maximizing energy and improving wellbeing.

  • Professional Development Opportunities in March

    Enhance your career wellness through the Office of Administration and Planning's (A&P) Operational Excellence (OE) / Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. A&P staff may register to attend two half-day training sessions to learn about OE and to explore their interest in participating on a process improvement team. Sessions are free to registered A&P staff.

    Staff should coordinate with their supervisor about participating in advance of registration.
