The purpose of SUR is to create a network of students, staff, and faculty that share a philosophy of support and brotherhood. Jan 18, 2018 - noon to 2 p.m. - Ohio Union The Women’s Place introduces Black Women Write (BWW), a collective that aims to provide support, encouragement, and care to black women writers across the university. Acknowledging the multidimensionality of writing, this collective welcomes academic writers engaging in research manuscripts, literary artists developing poetry and prose, program developers constructing grants, and more. BWW will offer a level of institutionalized support for black women working to maintain scholarly and creative excellence across the Ohio State campus. This event counts toward DICE certification.
