The EHE Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement (DICE) will host Ashley Woodson (Pittsburgh), Arash Daneshzadeh (San Francisco) and Cheryl Matias (Denver). The scholars will share their research and discuss the ways participants and communities of color encounter violence. They also will address questions on engaging in critically conscious research. Students say they care about interfaith cooperation. Matthew Mayhew, Flesher Professor in Educational Administration, College of Education and Human Ecology, found this result in a recent survey of the interfaith diversity experiences and attitudes of more than 20,000 freshmen at 122 college and universities. He and collaborators will summarize the findings and describe how campus leaders can engage students in interfaith learning during a webinar, “What Students Really Think About Religious Diversity.” More . Ohio State’s Institute for Korean Studies is presenting a screening of "Ode to My Father," a film that begins with a powerful depiction of the Hungnam evacuation during the Korean War. The film will be followed by a live Q&A with Admiral J. Robert Lunney (USN, Retired), who served on the SS Meredith Victory during the evacuation and with several local Ohio residents who survived the ordeal.
