The A&P Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) is seeking members. The ERG is open to all A&P staff members, regardless of gender identification, who are interested in advocating for increased awareness and productive action related to inequities women face in the workforce. All voices are welcome and encouraged. Through our solidarity and the valued involvement of our allies, we will drive programming and support for A&P staff. In Iate June, Environmental Health and Safety's (EHS) Cathy Black, an environmental safety office and buckeye wellness innovator, was invited by Buckeye Wellness to share tips and tricks with the university community about ergonomics, the science of fitting the job to the worker. EHS has implemented an ergonomics program to focus on the prevention and management of musculoskeletal disorders associated with repetitive job duties. Participants received guidance on ways to make their workstation more ergonomic-friendly.
In early June, Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) staff spent time with their new friend, Brienee, a Labrador Retriever with the Buckeye Paws therapy dog-handler program. FOD Buckeye Wellness Innovator Coco Kneisly coordinated the visit as way to bring joy to the team and brighten the day, while supporting staff wellness.

The A&P Fiscal team put their creative skills to the test during a recent trip to Wild Goose Creative, an event space intended to provide opportunities for participants to experience art and engage with each other. The trip was made possible thanks to A&P Fiscal Buckeye Wellness Innovators Camille Mack, Lindsey McCann, Ted Tobler and Mary Wehner, who were awarded a Buckeye Wellness Innovator grant for more than $400 through the Office of the University Chief Wellness Officer. The grant is designed to help develop new programs, encourage colleagues to live healthy lifestyles and plan activities for departments.
