In Iate June, Environmental Health and Safety's (EHS) Cathy Black, an environmental safety office and buckeye wellness innovator, was invited by Buckeye Wellness to share tips and tricks with the university community about ergonomics, the science of fitting the job to the worker. EHS has implemented an ergonomics program to focus on the prevention and management of musculoskeletal disorders associated with repetitive job duties. Participants received guidance on ways to make their workstation more ergonomic-friendly.
In early June, Facilities Operations and Development (FOD) staff spent time with their new friend, Brienee, a Labrador Retriever with the Buckeye Paws therapy dog-handler program. FOD Buckeye Wellness Innovator Coco Kneisly coordinated the visit as way to bring joy to the team and brighten the day, while supporting staff wellness.
